We are seeking a thoughtful and creative Curriculum Developer to join our expanding EDU team. The role will collaborate cross-functionally to create comprehensive and innovative educational content. You will design lesson plans and teaching materials that integrate our robots into the classroom environment, ensuring seamless alignment with educational standards and objectives. Your goal will be to enhance the learning experience, foster creativity, and promote a deep understanding of programming concepts among students and educators alike. As a Curriculum Developer for Ozobot, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing educational content that aligns with our products, enabling educators to deliver engagement and effective learning experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with EDU team leaders, Marketing, Creative and Product to develop curriculum that incorporates simple coding into various educational programs.
- Design instructional materials, lesson plans, and assessments that effectively integrates Ozobot to enhance students' understanding of programming concepts.
- Create engaging and interactive learning resources, including videos, presentations, worksheets, and interactive online modules, to support the curriculum.
- Develop a range of activities and projects that encourage hands-on coding experiences using Ozobot products.
- Ensure that the curriculum and teaching materials align with relevant educational standards, including Common Core, ISTE, NGSS, CSTA, or other relevant standards based on the target audience.
- Collaborate with PD and Sales to design and conduct workshops, webinars, and training sessions.
- Gather feedback from educators, students, and other stakeholders to continuously improve and refine the curriculum and educational resources.
- Incorporate feedback and iterate on the curriculum to enhance its effectiveness and relevance.
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure seamless integration of the curriculum and educational materials.
- Stay updated on the latest product features and updates to effectively incorporate them into the curriculum.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and advancements in education, coding, and robotics to enhance curriculum development.
- Conduct research and analyze data to inform curriculum design and improve educational outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and lead product demonstrations for customers.
- Strong understanding of educational pedagogy, curriculum design, and instructional strategies.
- Knowledge and experience in coding, programming, and robotics, with a focus on educational applications.
- Previous experience in curriculum development or educational technology is required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Attention to detail and a creative mindset to develop engaging and effective educational content.
- Ability to adapt and iterate based on feedback and changing educational needs.
- Familiarity with educational standards such as Common Core, ISTE, NGSS, CSTA, or others relevant to the educational landscape.
- Familiarity with the EdTech industry, robotics, and/or coding is a plus.
