This role is based out of our new and exciting Mexico City Office. Mexico City is our first office outside of the US, and you’ll be one of the first employees there, helping us build the office from scratch and shape an amazing culture. We’re headquartered in New York City, with a large presence in Atlanta, GA, as well as innovation hubs & remote talent across the U.S. BetterCloud is backed, among others, by some of the best technology investors Vista Equity Partners, Warburg Pincus, Bain Capital, and Accel.

As a BetterCloud inquisitive Data Analyst you will help grow our Track Product and contribute to its success. You will combine your business intelligence, data wrangling and statistical skills with your unique experience to answer business questions and make recommendations. In addition to leading analytics projects, you will improve our communication of data through dashboards, reports and presentations.

About You:

• Experience in data analysis roles - background in product analytics, customer support analytics or financial analysis in the software industry is a bonus
• Experience designing dashboards and enabling self-serve analytics through Business Intelligence tools (Preferably with Looker or Tableau)
• Expert use of SQL and working with relational databases (Understanding various use cases of different joins within a relational database and CTE performance scripting). Experience performing QA on complex SQL queries for bugs, optimization and performance.
• Experience working in an agile environment with multiple teams, and the ability to prioritize between urgent and important assignments
• Ability to produce high quality bespoke output on short time frames, while identifying opportunities to scale your work
• Ability to tell stories with data and conveying insights demonstrated through experience with client communications, presentations and cross-functional projects
• Experience using statistical tools (R and Python) to solve business questions is a bonus
• Desire to make an impact on the business, engage in interesting problems, and craft innovative solutions

What You’ll Do

• Support client’s needs for information through creation of BI reports and data extracts
• Develop self-service reporting for BetterCloud. Apply data visualization best practices to share insights and empower users with exploratory dashboards, helping them unlock a competitive advantage.
• Build and maintain data models that support the production of internal and external reports and analysis
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand how product features are performing and evaluate client utilization patterns. Diagnose areas for improvement and help set goals, ensuring critical metrics are clearly defined and easily accessible for teammates.
• Discuss your analysis with all audiences and use data to illustrate your findings and support your conclusions
