Who we are looking for:The Site Director is responsible for the strategic leadership of one or more Remarketing/Reconditioning Centers. This role sets the operational vision and standards across vehicle intake, reconditioning, inspections, detailing, logistics, quality assurance, and workforce management, and is accountable for translating corporate strategy into site-level execution. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of scaling high-volume operations, driving enterprise-wide process transformation, and building leadership bench strength. This candidate brings deep experience in automotive, logistics, or operations leadership and is comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical level — equally at home presenting to executive leadership and walking the lot to solve problems.What you will do: Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Own operational and financial accountability for the site(s), including , cost control and P&L performance. Set the direction for site operations, including capacity planning, throughput targets, and long-range workforce and facility planning to support business growth. Partner closely with ACV’s Commercial sales team to align site operations with commercial customer priorities, ensuring reconditioning quality, turnaround times, and vehicle readiness directly support customer satisfaction and retention goals. Serve as an operational partner to Commercial sales leadership, providing visibility into site capacity, throughput, and performance data to support account growth strategies, strengthen customer relationships, and identify opportunities to expand commercial volume. Provide leadership across departments including vehicle intake, reconditioning, detailing, mechanical, and logistics, with direct oversight of Site Managers and/or department leads. Assist in defining and support execution of the optimal end-to-end vehicle flow strategy, balancing throughput, quality, and cost across the reconditioning lifecycle. Own site-wide KPI’s cycle time, quality, throughput, cost-per-unit, and customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar). Lead process transformation initiatives, partnering with Corporate, Operations, and Engineering teams to design and implement scalable process improvements. Serve as the senior escalation point for safety and compliance, partnering with corporate Health & Safety to implement safety programs; ensuring full regulatory and environmental compliance. Drive productivity, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction improvements through operational redesign, automation, and technology adoption. Build and maintain strategic cross-functional partnerships with Dealer and Commercial Sales, Logistics, and Corporate Leadership to align site operations with broader business objectives. Build organizational capability by developing succession plans, mentoring Site Managers and supervisors, and cultivating a high-performance leadership bench. Champion a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across all levels of the site workforce. Represent site operations in Executive and cross-functional business reviews, presenting performance results, risks, and strategic recommendations. Perform additional duties as assigned. What you will need: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Automotive Technology, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree a plus. 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including 3+ years in automotive, logistics, or manufacturing environments. Demonstrated success leading high-volume, multi-departmental operations with full P&L or budget ownership. Strong expertise in reconditioning operations (mechanical, cosmetic, detailing) and end-to-end vehicle lifecycle management. Proven track record designing and executing operational strategy, including process reengineering and large-scale efficiency initiatives. Experience leading through other leaders (Site Managers, Supervisors) in a multi-layer organizational structure. Advanced analytical and financial acumen, with fluency in operational reporting tools, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making. Executive presence with strong communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across functions. Ability to lead in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, customer-focused environment while managing ambiguity and competing priorities. Physical requirements include the ability to work in outdoor environments, including extreme heat or cold, walk the vehicle lot, inspect vehicles, and be active in an automotive shop environment. On-site position, with travel to additional sites as needed. Full-time hours with extended hours based on business needs. #LI-CR1
