Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a strong individual contributor with solid experience in software development and operations and solid practical coding skills, to improve our APIs and services speed and reliability. Monk provides visual expertise through Computer Vision and Deep Learning algorithms: today, our AI is able to detect and classify damages on any vehicle, using photos taken by a smartphone.
We mostly work with python inside docker, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL and Kubernetes. Monk is working with international leading players, such as our parent company ACV Auctions (USA), but also CAT logistics (Europe) Getaround (France), Autobiz (Europe) or Tesla (Global). What you will do:
- Contribute to our python codebase
- Help improve our GKE infrastructure
- Contribute to technical designs and discussions
- Document your progress properly
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- 4+ years of experience as a developer
- 1+ year of experience as a devops/SRE
- Solid, hands-on experience in developing APIs, especially in python and flask
- Solid knowledge in Kubernetes.
- Understanding how ORM works
- Experience with an agile methodology
- Experience with GCP and in particular GKE, Terraform and/or Helm is preferred
- Knowledge of SQLAlchemy, Pika, Unittest/Pytest is preferred
