Who we are looking for:

The Team Lead, Capital Floorplan supports the floorplan lending function by managing the process of dealer contracting, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, and Purchase Money Security Interest (PMSI) notices. This team lead role ensures loan documentation is accurate and compliant and that the company’s security interests are properly perfected. The ideal candidate is very organized, has strong attention to detail, experience with contracting and/or secured lending, leads by example, and has the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced financial services environment.

What you will do:

  • Lead team that prepares, reviews, and processes floorplan lending contracts and related documentation and can perform all aspects of the team’s functions
  • Responsible for supervision of team, including hiring and staffing, coaching and training, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure contracts are correct in every detail and comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Track contract status and see that accurate records are maintained in internal systems
  • Oversee all security interest (UCCs and PMSIs) processes, including documentation, to ensure provable perfection
  • Oversee accuracy of all relevant information across all relevant documentation
  • Oversee or conduct UCC searches to identify all senior creditors
  • Ensure that the filing of all UCC financing statements is done correctly
  • Ensure that accurate UCC and PMSI records are retained
  • Ensure PMSI requirements are timely met, including refreshed notices
  • Raise questions when something doesn’t seem quite right
  • Provide quality control checks at key control points
  • Coordinate with internal teams (credit, legal, operations) and external partners to resolve documentation issues
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready files
  • Adhere to internal controls, compliance standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Assist with audits, reviews, and reporting related to floorplan collateral
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • 3 years’ experience with floorplan lending, secured lending, or commercial finance operations
  • 1 year progressive supervisory experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with loan documentation systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and with others as team leader
  • Problem-solving and issue resolution skills
  • Curiosity about perceived anomalies and the courage to always speak up
  • Experience in floorplan lending, secured lending, or commercial finance operations is preferred
  • Some knowledge of UCC filing and PMSI notice requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation: $64,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
