Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lot Coordinator to join our team at the auto auction. As Lot Coordinator , you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of the vehicle lot, checking-in vehicles to various dealerships and lease companies, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Being able to operate a wrecker, rollback and forklift is required.

Duties:
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle lot
- Move vehicles to designated areas within the lot
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as fueling vehicles and checking tire pressure
- Assist with vehicle inventory management
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting guests
- Operate manual transmission vehicles when required
- Using I-Pad / Tablet to stock in and picture vehicles.
- Working outside in ALL weather conditions.

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on providing exceptional customer service

The Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and helping prevent problems with vehicle performance and ensure that vehicles operate in a safe, reliable manner.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Works with the manager and other mechanics to diagnose and repair the mechanical and electrical components of vehicles.
  • May perform test drivers, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify where problems exists and determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced.
  • Completing preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as performing oil changes, flushing and replacing fluids, and replacing brakes.
  • Repairing damage to the body of the vehicle and washing and painting the vehicle’s exterior.
  • Supports generating timelines and estimates for repairs and discussing options with clients.
  • Inspects internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly and in compliance with state regulations.
  • Maintains accurate records relating to clients, their vehicles, parts, and service history.
  • Uses shop equipment as instructed, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of auto mechanic experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair vehicles and follow safety instructions and directions.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and other equipment.
  • Excellent active listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with others effectively, work as a team; good interpersonal skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to keep confidential any work documents seen or conversations heard during performance of job duties
  • Ability to communicate diplomatically
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
