Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Inside Sales will be responsible for driving wholesale unit growth, dealer engagement, and operational excellence within our Inside Sales organization. This role leads strategy and execution for acquiring new buyers, expanding purchasing activity among existing dealers, and retaining long-term partnerships with our dealers through the sale of ACV’s portfolio of products. This position also plays a critical role in creating alignment and synergy across Inside and Outside Sales Teams to ensure a seamless dealer experience and hitting monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute the Inside Sales strategy to achieve company unit targets, buyer growth, and market-share expansion.
  • Build and implement scalable processes to grow purchasing volume from existing dealer accounts through targeted campaigns, improved engagement, and data-driven selling.
  • Partner closely with Outside Sales leadership to create unified go-to-market strategies, territory plans, and coverage models. Ensure alignment and partnership with Outside Sales spans through all layers of the Inside Sales team.
  • Identify, develop and execute lead generation and cross-sales campaigns that drive adoption of ACV’s full portfolio of products and deliver incremental value to dealers.
  • Lead Inside Sales Managers in building integrated communication processes ensuring Inside and Outside teams collaborate and coordinate dealer outreach.
  • Partner with ACV’s Data and Sales Operations teams to identify, implement and/or build AI-driven technologies and solutions to automate routine processes, create predictive analytics models, and forecast dealer behaviors. Continuously measure ROI of AI tools, reconfigure for efficiency and improve adoption, as needed.
  • Foster a culture of technology adoption and data-driven decision making, encouraging the team to embrace and actively use sales technologies, track customer information in CRMs, and leverage data to maximize sales effectiveness.
  • Work with Marketing, Operations, and Analytics teams to ensure sales campaigns are aligned and supported cross-functionally.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Inside Sales team, including Sales Managers, Business Development Representatives, and Buyer Representatives.
  • Establish clear performance expectations. Own KPIs related to call effectiveness, pipeline health, account coverage, unit forecasting, and dealer retention.
  • Build a strong, metrics-driven sales culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry
  • 6+ years of experience in leading highly effective sales teams
  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry with deep understanding of customer and market dynamics.
  • Data driven and results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding business objectives and sales goals
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to drive change and draw out outstanding performance from assigned team
  • Excellent at building relationships, both internally and with external Dealer partners.
  • Strong aptitude for utilizing technology and adoption of AI into business processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to decision making with ability to present clear and conscious solutions.
  • Remains calm and models positive leadership behaviors in the face of challenges, deadlines, change, and aggressive sales targets.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Travel up to 40% of the time.

Compensation: $155,000.00 - $185,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
