Who we are looking for:


The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the accounting processes for multiple physical auctions located around the country. This role is responsible for managing and reconciling financial transactions, preparing and examining financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory standards. The Accounting Manager's accuracy and attention to detail are vital in maintaining accurate financial data, facilitating timely reporting, and supporting sound financial decision-making within the company.


What you will do:

  • Lead site personnel in the development of key financial and accounting business processes, driving consistency across the multiple sites
  • Train physical auction office personnel on business processes that impact the financial statements
  • Audit all fee deals and fee deal book to ensure deals are accurate and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with Office Managers and Title Clerks to ensure titles are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with State and Auction requirements.
  • Coordinate with Office Managers to ensure all bills and ACHs are properly entered and processed.
  • Lead the design and implementation of internal controls as needed, to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and to prevent operational losses.
  • Manage master data in the Auction Management System, including AutoIMS users
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Controller to ensure the clearing accounts are reconciled
  • Manage bank reports to ensure all transactions are properly posted
  • Manage required IRS reporting, including form 8300
  • Coordinate with Office Managers all A/R aging to ensure collection efforts are made on a timely basis
  • Audit and manage the AMS to ensure all deals recorded in the system are accurate and valid
  • Audit the AMS to ensure that system records are in compliance with physical inventory
  • Oversee the arbitration process to ensure timely processing of unwinds and inherited units
  • Audit the waived fee records to ensure company policy is properly followed
  • Any other analysis or auditing needed throughout the month to ensure proper reporting
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What you will need:

  • + 7 years of Auto Physical Auction in a multi-site environment is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • The ability to work independently, and apply financial and accounting knowledge in the furtherance of the accounting department’s goals and objectives.
  • Ability to learn in a fast paced changing environment.
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify possible solutions to business problems.
