Who we are looking for:

The Commercial Account Manager oversees factory, fleet and lease, and/or consignment sales in alignment with corporate and customer guidelines to maximize production volume and customer or client satisfaction. This role acts as a liaison between the Remarketing Center and commercial accounts, ensuring accurate and compliant vehicle preparation through monitoring of national commercial account contracts. The Commercial Account Manager reports to the General Manager and is accountable for ensuring the seamless operations of the dealer consignment department through ensuring proper staffing and Teammate development, while monitoring KPIs to promote customer satisfaction and increase profitability. This role must ensure and maintain adherence to company policies and procedures, state, or federal laws under applicable jurisdiction(s).

What you will do:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Manage commercial accounts in alignment with corporate guidelines, customer satisfaction measures, and sales plan layouts, optimizing sales volume for profitability.
  • Provide comprehensive solutions to dealer customers, offering expert advice to the sales team on products and customer-related needs.
  • Partner with the auction operations team to coordinate and fulfill orders, reviewing and ensuring conformity to customer contract requirements and corporate guidelines.
  • Foster customer base opportunity and growth through prompt and friendly service and experience(s).
  • Participate in sale day activities, representing vehicles for absentee seller customers and authorizing transactions per customer instructions.
  • Hire, train, develop, and manage performance of direct reports and department Teammates in partnership with the People & Culture team.
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain team or department goals, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Establish and cultivate professional relationships with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
  • Retain existing customers to enhance auction sales volume. Address and resolve customer complaints, escalating serious incidents to the General Manager or designated leadership.
  • Assist auction management and sales in collecting outstanding receivables. Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of dealer consignment accounting with weekly and monthly corporate reports, initiating and following up on discrepancies.
  • Partner with marketing to implement and utilize tools on selected or targeted customer accounts. Direct proper record-keeping and follow-through on all sales promotions and advertising at the auction.
  • Stay abreast of industry standards, monitor local competition, and recommend competitive strategies to the General Manager and marketing department.
  • Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, schedules, and accounting from the General Manager, designated leadership, or other corporate sources.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 1-2 years’ progressive supervisory/management experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Proven customer service experience or background.
  • Demonstrated customer relations skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop several levels of Teammates to develop a department.
  • Proven interpersonal relationship building and Teammate development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to practice a high level of confidentiality.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Proficiency with GSuite, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.
  • Proficiency with AutoIMS system.
