Who we are looking for:
The Part time Dealmaker plays a key role in selling and sourcing inventory for ACV’s dealer partners (both buyers and sellers) by monitoring unsold auctions and closing deals at a high frequency. The Dealmaker is responsible for negotiating, facilitating and closing deals (Ended Live Auctions and Post sale offers) while retaining fee revenue in a fast-paced environment and utilizing multiple channels of communication. A successful Dealmaker partners closely with internal teams, clients and stakeholders to negotiate and close deals that align with business objectives.
Please note the required availability is needed for this position: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday; 5:30 PM- 11:00 PM EST.
What you will do:
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Monitor all assigned unsold auction opportunities to lead deal negotiations between buyer and seller dealer partners to deliver business objectives while retaining auction fees.
- Evaluate opportunities by leveraging industry knowledge to determine the best sales strategy to negotiate a successful sale.
- Utilize internal market data tools including Salesforce, ACV Marketplace, AI priority scoring, Custom dealer profiles and G.O.A.T. to provide information and identify success for dealer partners within a short sales cycle.
- Drive sales through multiple channels of communication E.g. text, phone, email and internal slack channels in an exciting fast paced environment.
- Quickly determine accurate fees on each transaction to ensure correct pricing for both buyer and seller while maintaining profitability.
- Navigate various phone systems E.g. the 1-800 number, Ring Central and Contact Center.
- Partner with outside Sales and Buyer Representatives, Buyer Development Representatives, Titles and other internal teams to ensure smooth execution of agreements.
- Meet or exceed all sales goals and KPIs.
- Document activities, strategies and efforts within Salesforce.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- 3 years’ sales experience or deal making within the automotive industry
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to meet and exceed given daily/weekly/monthly sales quota
- Proven ability to negotiate complex deals successfully
- Deep understanding of the automotive market
- Strong ability to analyze market data and financial reports to inform decision making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence persuade stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
- A reliable self-starter attitude who is capable of thriving independently and in a team environment.
- Strong resilience and capacity to remain calm and make rational decisions under pressure
- Strong experience navigating CRM Software specifically Salesforce, ACV Marketplace, AI priority scoring, Custom dealer profiles and G.O.A.T.
- Must be available for variable shifts/ schedules as required, including evenings and weekends as per operational requirements
Compensation: At ACV, we believe in rewarding impact and empowering performance. Our compensation package for this role includes $20.00 per hour base pay. Earn additional compensation at target performance with opportunity to exceed performance targets and earn beyond on-target earnings. Your total compensation is designed to grow with your results.
