Who we are looking for:

ACV is looking for a Senior Procurement Lead responsible for developing procurement strategies, leading negotiations, and driving cost savings initiatives for multiple categories with a focus on software and cloud services. The Senior Procurement Lead will have previous experience negotiating SaaS purchases and renewals, with a solid understanding of SaaS licensing models, knowledge of the available levers to pull, and strategies to utilize to achieve the best results.

This role will be responsible for building strong relationships with stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their requirements and purchase objectives. The Senior Procurement Lead will work cross-functionally with Information Security, Finance and Legal teams to guide stakeholders through the purchasing and vendor contracting process. This includes contract negotiations, vendor onboarding, renewal management, contract administration and overseeing vendor relationships.

This role requires a combination of analytical skills, business acumen, and effective communication abilities. The ideal candidate for this role has a history of delivering results, is proactive, and can influence stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process for purchase requests and renewals, including evaluating and onboarding vendors, negotiating pricing and business terms, and facilitating the approval process with Information Security, Finance and Legal teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, formulate strategy, and execute contract negotiations to achieve best possible outcomes.
  • Initiate sourcing events from start to finish, driving alignment across cross-functional teams. Formulate and recommend sourcing decisions to leadership.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and establish cost effective practices through competitive bidding and vendor consolidation.
  • Build a strong understanding of business direction and priorities for vendors and spend across categories and departments.
  • Ensure purchases and renewals are in compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Manage enterprise agreements and vendor relationships, including regular business reviews.
  • Lead category management initiatives across multiple business functions, including category strategy, spend analysis/market intelligence, proactive cost savings opportunities, and vendor management.
  • Contribute to the maturation of procurement competencies to evolve the department into a strategic function, including business relationship management, stakeholder collaboration, and category and sub-category planning.
  • Utilize knowledge of procurement best practices to identify opportunities for improvement within the procurement process.
  • Analyze market trends and vendor capabilities to support informed sourcing decisions.

What you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, supply chain and/or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience sourcing and negotiating SaaS with knowledge of IT products, services and market trends. Experience as a sourcing or category lead in software or IT is preferred.
  • Proven experience in SaaS and software procurement, including enterprise-wide agreements and managing vendor relationships.
  • Prior involvement in vendor consolidation initiatives, including with acquired companies, is a plus.
  • Other functional experience, particularly in project management, business process, or business analysis, is preferred.
  • Ability to participate in supplier risk evaluations for key and single sourced items.
  • Must have proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and be effective in managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and project management skills.
  • Experience writing and generating RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
  • Analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau).
  • Detail-oriented, financially savvy, and skilled at juggling multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

Compensation: $81,000.00 - $102,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
