Who we are looking for:



The CCRW Inspector is a hybrid role combining the skills of a Condition Report Writer with the customer-facing and inspection responsibilities of a Customer Condition Report Writer. This position is responsible for accurately documenting vehicle conditions, conducting thorough inspections, and building positive relationships with customers. The ideal candidate has strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast auto-paced environment while ensuring accuracy, trust, transparency, and exceptional customer service.

What you will do:



  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

  • Vehicle Inspections & Reporting

  • Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, off-lease sites, and customer locations to detect damage, missing parts, and mechanical issues.

  • Verify vehicle information against work order details, noting any discrepancies.

  • Document vehicle condition by completing accurate and timely electronic condition reports, including options, equipment, odometer readings, and operational status.

  • Estimate repair and replacement costs, recommend labor actions, and identify value-added options.

  • Take multiple high-quality photographs per established criteria and upload them to the image server.

  • Apply grading standards (including NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy) and adapt to account-specific requirements.

  • Customer Service & Sales Support

  • Partner with Territory Managers and sales teams to support customer relationships and satisfaction.

  • Clearly explain inspection findings to customers in a way that is easy to understand.

  • Assist in upselling or cross-selling company products and services.

  • Sign up independent dealerships as buyers for the company’s digital auction platform.

  • Operational & Safety Compliance

  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and best practices during inspections and reporting.

  • Maintain knowledge of system capabilities, inspection tools, and web-based platforms.

  • Participate in safety initiatives and model safe work behaviors.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

1–3 years of experience in the automobile industry (body, paint, mechanical repair, or inspection) strongly preferred.



  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, common wear and tear, and damage assessment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service orientation.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to multiple locations daily.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and use of an insured and registered personal vehicle.

  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including mobile applications and inspection/reporting software.


Physical/Mental Requirements


Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, squat, kneel, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform visual inspections requiring close attention to detail.


Working Conditions


This role requires travel between multiple locations daily and extended periods of outdoor work. It involves both customer interaction and detailed vehicle inspection/documentation work.
