Who we are looking for:
ACV is looking for a Product Engineer II to play a critical role in the development and scaling of our cutting-edge product portfolio. This role is the front-line force behind delivering, installing, testing, and supporting product and tooling in real-world environments, ensuring high performance, dealer satisfaction, and field readiness at scale.
You’ll work cross-functionally across engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to continuously improve deployment processes, debug issues, and ensure operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys hands-on work, and has a skill with customer success.
What you will do:
- Product Delivery:
Execute end-to-end deployment of the Viper system at dealerships nationwide, ensuring on-time, high-quality installations aligned with customer expectations. - Customer Support:
Serve as the front-line technical expert for dealership partners, resolving issues, answering questions, and delivering a seamless Viper experience. - Process Improvements:
Continuously identify and implement enhancements to installation, testing, and support workflows to improve efficiency and scalability. - Documentation:
Create and maintain clear, actionable technical documentation to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Viper platform. - Installation & Product Logistics:
Coordinate logistics, site prep, and hands-on installation of Viper units, ensuring alignment with dealership operations and site-specific requirements. - Product Testing, Debugging, and Experimentation:
Run structured tests, diagnose technical issues in the field, and support rapid experimentation to iterate on hardware, software, and deployment practices. - Support Broader Manufacturing Teams: Work with manufacturing partners to surface field insights, validate assembly quality, and ensure readiness for scale as Viper production ramps up.
What you will need:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- 1-3 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing
- Familiarity with defining and implementing quality process improvement methodologies. Quality certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt) are a plus.
- In-depth understanding of operational workflows and consumer needs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to drive performance and lead initiatives without direct authority.
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of the company's multidisciplinary system, including hardware, software, and components.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues effectively.
- Proficiency in disassembling and reassembling system components.

1-3 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing

Preferred bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, civil, engineering or related field.

Product Management, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
Location:
- Full Time in Buffalo, NY is preferred; Up to 50% travel and estimated to have an average duration of less than one week.
Compensation: $76,000.00 - $95,000,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law. #LI-MS1
