Who we are looking for:

The Lead HD Check In/CR Writer will be responsible for checking in all Heavy-Duty vehicles and equipment into our inventory system and completing a condition report on all HD vehicles. In addition, the Lead HD Check In/CR Writer will be responsible for the process flow, ensuring CR quality, internal communication and reporting, providing repair estimates, and ensuring vehicles and equipment are ready for sale day.

What you will do:

  • Use a mobile device to check in and enter vehicle/equipment information into the auction inventory system.
  • Conduct inspection of heavy duty vehicles and equipment, producing a detailed and accurate condition report.
  • Take multiple, overall and damage photos to properly note the condition of the vehicle, truck or equipment.
  • Load condition reports timely onto the auction platform for customer viewing ahead of sale day.
  • Read all ECM’s with the J-Pro and attach all scanned information to the condition report.
  • Oversee the quality and process flow of HD Check In/CR Writer team.
  • Provide customers with repair estimates and communicate with customers on approval and the status of repairs.
  • Communicate with internal partners to ensure work is being done in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.
  • Indicate need for repair/replacement, as appropriate.
  • Provide quality control on commercial units post recon and mechanic work prior to sale.
  • Train and mentor HD Check In/CR Writers and provide on-going coaching as needed.
  • Park trucks and keep the lot organized for safety and a smooth sale day.
  • Move HD trucks around on auction property as needed, including driving trucks on sale day.
  • Assist with jump starting trucks, as needed
  • Assist customers finding their trucks on our property, as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 3+ years Inspecting, repairing, working on and with, large trucks and equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive a manual & automatic transmission.
  • Must be comfortable using technology (tablets, smart phones, laptops)
  • Must be willing to learn how to drive HD truck, CDL license is not required
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Vision abilities required to properly identify small defects around and underneath trucks and equipment.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to understand customer needs and expectations.
  • Proven success to work independently with minimal supervision while working in a team environment.
  • Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and train others to proficiency.
