Who we are looking for:
The RC Auto Mechanic will be responsible for performing comprehensive mechanical inspections and conducting light mechanical reconstruction and repair work on vehicles to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. A valid ASE certification is required.
What you will do:
- Perform mechanical inspections on incoming vehicles to assess condition and identify any mechanical issues.
- Carry out light mechanical repairs and reconstruction work (e.g., brake systems, transmissions, electrical, AC, driveability, suspension, minor engine repairs).
- Document findings from inspections and repairs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with reconditioning and detailing teams to ensure vehicles are fully prepped for resale.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
- Complies with procedures relating to recycleables, fluids, tires and disposable trash
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- ASE Certification is required.
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and repair manuals.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
Physical/Mental Requirements
- Physical requirements include the ability to walk the lot, inspect vehicles, and be active in an
- automotive shop environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods.
Working Conditions
- On-site position.
- Full-time hours with occasional extended hours based on business needs.
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions.
