The Account Manager, Transportation is highly collaborative and focused on delivering value added services to existing ACV customers. This role will work closely with all ACV Sales Teams as well as Transport Operations and Business Operations. The Account Manager, Transportation's primary responsibility will be to win new transport orders from existing ACV customers. The role will be responsible for coordinating with the existing account coverage in order to build relationships, pitch transport, and close deals.

Remote / Travel

This role is remote but candidates that can be in the Buffalo, NY office at least 2 days a week are preferred.

Occasional corporate travel to customers may be required up to 20%. For candidates not in Buffalo, additional travel will be required to the Buffalo, NY office.

  • Sales
    • Win back customers that decline or churn from ACV Transport
    • Win customers that never use ACV Transport
    • Win wallet share from customers that sometimes use ACV Transport
    • Win customers to use ACV Transport’s services outside of ACV Auctions
  • Collaboration
    • ACV Inside, Outside, and Major Account sales teams to navigate customers and relationships
    • Transport Marketing to generate and distribute collateral to target customers
    • Transport Business Intelligence to use data and reports to identify target customers and track success
    • Transport Operations to drive customized fulfillment to meet customer needs and hand off customers to Transport account managers
  • Create and maintain relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and shippers and communicate with them via email, text, video and face-to-face
  • Execute on sales campaigns and initiatives
  • Coordinate internally to get in front of customers, craft custom pitches, and win transport orders
  • Leverage follow-ups, check-ins and cross functional resources to drive customer wins
  • Meet or exceed all sales goals and KPI’s
  • Document activities, strategies and efforts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Education Requirements

  • Preferred - 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree

Years of Experience

  • 2 years B to B/SMB environment experience

Compensation: $49,000 - $73,000 annually. This position is eligible for additional compensation pursuant to ACV’s incentive compensation plan. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
