The Site Manager is responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of a high-volume Remarketing/Reconditioning Center. This role oversees all site activities, including vehicle intake, reconditioning, inspections, detailing, logistics, quality assurance, and workforce management. What you will do:
- Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the site, ensuring efficient workflow, quality control, and on-time vehicle processing.
- Lead and manage site teams across departments, including vehicle intake, reconditioning, detailing, mechanical, and logistics. Responsible for determining the optimal flow of vehicles and prioritization of inspection, reconditioning and detailing.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle times, quality metrics, and production targets. Develop and implement process efficiencies to continuously improve site KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies. Coordinate with the corporate Health and Safety team to monitor safety standards and implement new safety initiatives.
- Implement and optimize operational processes to improve productivity, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, logistics, and quality assurance to ensure the timely delivery of reconditioned vehicles.
- Manage vendor relationships for subcontracted services, including mechanical work, paint and body, and parts supply.
- Provide coaching, training, and development for supervisors and hourly staff; oversee staffing and scheduling needs.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and professional facility appearance.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Automotive Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in automotive, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of auto reconditioning processes, including mechanical, cosmetic, and detailing operations.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing high-functioning teams in high-volume environments.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of operational efficiency strategies and proficiency in operational reporting tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a customer-focused mindset.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Physical requirements include the ability to work in outdoor environments, including extreme heat, walk the lot, inspect vehicles, and be active in an automotive shop environment.
Working Conditions:
- On-site position.
- Full-time hours with occasional extended hours based on business needs.
