Who we are looking for:

ACV is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Regional Field Manager, who has a background in the automotive space, a passion for cars, and wants an opportunity to join a growing company. Our Regional Field Managers are critical to the success of our business. They work closely with Territory Managers, the Inside Sales Team, and Vehicle Condition Inspector teams within the region to drive overall customer success. They need to understand the dealership and wholesale car business. They are "road warriors" who have boundless energy and work tirelessly to support their territory, train our teams, and provide our clients with the best service. At ACV, we pride ourselves on trust, transparency, and credibility, and our Territory Managers deliver this to our customers every day.

What you will do:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Responsible for training/mentoring VCIs while improving quality control in the field
  • Train new hires in the field once they have completed initial training, including FSL, Salesforce, Apex, Amp, True360, Off-Lease, Wholesale, and all software/physical tools required for the role.
  • Assist in training and mentoring to improve the performance of our VCI workforce.
  • Assist in managing scheduling efficiencies and communicating with FSL, Territory Managers, Regional Directors, and others as necessary to ensure VCI efficiency within the region.
  • Assist in any overflow inspections or business critical circumstances when needed
  • Responsible for contributing to the management/mitigation of arbitration costs and guidelines within set performance expectations.
  • Provide clear focus on the reduction of avoidable arbitration through analysis, review, and building strategy to support field teams.
  • Provide data and information to Territory Managers, Regional Sales Directors, and other leaders as needed for areas trending above Arbitration expectations.
  • Regularly and consistently meet with all VCIs in the region and have a formal QBR to review Business results with each VCI at least once per quarter.
  • This is a field-based position that will travel throughout the assigned area within the US and will be exposed to outdoor climate and frequent travel.

What you will need:

  • High School or GED - required
  • 5 year(s) Dealership experience on either the used or new car side of business or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Strong commitment to incredible service to internal and external customers.
  • Experience selling into dealerships, automotive inspection quality assurance, and auction knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in the field across your assigned region as required ( generally daily), supporting Vehicle Condition Inspectors and the Field Leadership
  • Have a solid understanding of the retail/wholesale marketplace in an operational context to best position ACV Auctions.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of the importance of building internal and external networks to increase personal effectiveness.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and assists others in doing so.
  • Experience using a CRM (preferably Salesforce) and other systems as required to support the development and training of Field Teams.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet the expectations of the role, including meetings, training, and other activities as required.
