Who we are looking for:
ACV Auctions Transportation is looking for an enthusiastic Transportation Administrator who has a knack for cars and wants an opportunity to join a growing company. Transportation is fast-paced and vital to our business; our carrier partners work hard and appreciate super fast payment. This role is responsible for verifying buyer transport orders and achieving the successful resolution of carrier payment inquiries in a timely manner.
What you will do:
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Responsible for ensuring timely payment to our carrier partners
- Verify receipt and accuracy of bills of lading (BOL)
- Assist carriers with payment inquiries
- Communicate the value of working with ACV and why they would want to partner with us.
- Convert carriers from check payments to ACH by communicating how much faster it is
- Verify all pertinent carrier information is accurately entered into Salesforce
- Set proper expectations with carriers regarding how fast we pay
- Collect and upload carrier documents to Netsuite and Salesforce
- Provide high-quality support to carriers via phone and email as needed
- Resolve challenging and complicated payment issues with effective problem solving skills
- Follow through to ensure timely, proper resolution and provide continuous communication to all parties involved.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year related experience in customer service, transportation, and/or payments operations.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- A reliable self-starter attitude that can thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- The desire to roll up your sleeves to get stuff done; doing whatever it takes to delight a customer.
- Problem-solving capability.
- Able to navigate multiple departments.
- Comfort in talking to customers on the phone.
- Team Player who willingly accepts change and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A sense of urgency and self-motivation.
- Familiar with business technology (Microsoft Office Suite), Salesforce a plus.
Compensation: $18.50 per hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
